May 17, 2025 Bird scooters will end operations in Great Falls next week, leaving Bozeman as the only Montana city with the electric scooter service. STEVE in the Sky

Folks in Wyoming/Montana/Utah watching the Northern lightsreported seeing STEVE in the sky standing for Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement — is an aurora-like glow that often accompanies the northern lights, yet is a distinct phenomenon, according to the American Geophysical Union (AGU). STEVE was discovered between 2015 and 2016, not by professional astronomers or physicists, but by citizen scientists in Canada chasing the aurora, according to the first study published on STEVE in Science Advances in 2018. May 15, 2025 The Montana Department of Transportation and CK May Excavating are set to conduct rock removal on Interstate 90 near Bozeman Pass during the week of May 19. This closure is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. MDT. The exact time for the closure is uncertain due to nearby train activity on the BNSF railroad. (Montana Right Now)

Bozeman airport expansion

In addition to the Terminal and Runway expansion (bozemanairport.com/projects), there is more development surrounding the runway. I cant list everyone building however from the road, Transmedics has an impressive addition in the works. they specialize in lung, heart & liver transplantation.

May 16, 2025 RIVERTON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Corrections Wyoming Honor Farm and the Bureau of Land Management placed 45 gentled wild horses and burros that were available for adoption into new homes last Saturday. Over 350 people attended the adoption from throughout Wyoming and other states. (BLM)
